Previously, the multidisciplinary creative founded and ran an online fashion brand, translating hand-drawn textile illustrations into sleepwear and accessories. From concept to execution, Sam led every stage of the development process. From textile design, photography visual direction, image editing, graphic design, and illustrated props, she brought this brand and its campaigns to life.
Truth? Sam slept on the job.
Not really. But Sam K Ryan did dream a lot about becoming a creative designer and media maker.
As a frilly-sock-wearing child in country Victoria, Sam was forever telling stories through pictures and words. Long before home internet existed (the true stone age, depending on who you ask). She world was built from pencil lines and colour, hours spent sketching characters and dreaming up tiny, imaginative universes of my own.
That early fascination never really left. It grew, stretching into a lifelong love of design, media, and storytelling in all its forms. Sam dreamed of designing garments for film or the runway, or stepping behind the lens as a filmmaker.
Today, Sam blends design thinking with storytelling to create thoughtful and engaging work. She is open to collaborations in design and content creation. She invites you to reach out to discuss your next project together.
